Curriculum

AT WMS WE...

...are an Integrated Learning School.  That means all classes have curriculum that includes arts integration.  In addition, that means there are courses that integrate across curriculum.  So a student might be doing Science in their English class for example!  

 

This is very exciting, and each grade level has a "throughline".  A throughline is generally a question that is asked of the students and our curriculum supports students in being able to answer that question.  These questions are broad and not answered simply with one work or one sentence.

 

This year:

6th Grade: How do my choices affect me, my family and my community?

7th Grade: How do we connect to a larger world?

8th Grade: How does collaboration facilitate growth?
